You may know Dianne from the support desk. But likely not – she’s our behind the scenes hero! She has been our lead developer for 10 YEARS this month!
Thank you, Dianne, for taking such good care of our websites!
She moved last year to New York with her husband and two boys. And I asked for her thoughts on working from home while raising young children.
What’s a few things you’ve learned with WPB?
For 10 years working with WPB I think I’ve learned to focus on developing and using my strengths. I had to learn to overcome my fear of failure and learn new skills. And I don’t hesitate to ask for help!
Lately my husband has been working at home. And when he has a conference call, my youngest has to inform us to be quiet. Which is great. Except he makes the LOUDEST “Shhhhhhh!” sound ever! We can’t get him to say it quietly!
Do you have any Tips for working from home?
Working and parenting simultaneously can get overwhelming. Don’t hesitate to ask for HELP if you need it.
I am grateful for the opportunity to choose when and where to work! That’s the best part of working from home.
What’s a normal day look like for you?
I always setup a routine and focus on it. Time management, working, entertaining the kids, and making the home as tidy as I can, that’s my every day routine.
Our family also takes most weekends and holidays to hike nearby parks and mountains. Our latest hike, June 2021, is pictured above. It is not our best picture – it’s hard to get the kids to pose nicely for family pictures :)))
