Just like when you leave your house to visit relatives over the holidays, we want to keep your website secure, running and in good order while you’re gone. And in this case, we want it to continue making money, creating community and producing content.
How are you going to do that while you’re not there? Let me count the ways!
1 – Set an alarm
You wouldn’t leave your house without it, don’t leave your site open to hackers or hoodlums or spam or whatnot. Delegate monitoring to a real-person service (just so happens we offer this!). You can uptime monitoring from pingdom or security monitoring from Sucuri.net. Both are great effective and inexpensive services.
Or you can get our VIP service which offers both of those, plus SEO, Performance, Analytics, backups and upgrades in one![info_box type=”note_box”]We’re offering a special deal over the holidays for the next 1o people who sign up – No set up fee ($25). So it is $47/mo and you can cancel at any time! Who’da thunk?[/info_box]
The thing about our VIP service is that we don’t wait for you to contact us with a problem – we will let you know if something happens that needs your attention.[clickToTweet tweet=”#WordPress monitoring over the holidays for $47 for up to 10 people!” quote=”#WordPress monitoring over the holidays for $47 for up to 10 people!”]
2 – Schedule the Content
Use buffer or coschedule to schedule your social media promotion. And use your WordPress post dashboard to schedule the posts. It can all be done in your absence.
3 – Surround Yourself with Like-minded People.
Some time ago, I surrounded myself with a group of hard working creative entrepreneurs. They were, largely, just getting out of the gate and into the world of business. They spent a lot of time on intentions and goal setting. I started doing the same thing.
Since everyone around me was touting the successes of setting intentions and getting results, I started feeling like something was wrong with me. I don’t have intentions. And I don’t attract money out of the sky.[clickToTweet tweet=”I don’t have intentions. And I don’t attract money out of the sky.” quote=”I don’t have intentions. I got on a call with another lady in a different industry (HR) and we talked about intention. And lo and behold, she didn’t have an intention strategy either!! It was like new breath was breathed into me. I had more energy and more confidence in myself and my strategies.
If you intend to work shorter hours, or leave the laptop alone (gasp!) for a few days, you’ll need to surround yourself with others who have similar values.
We’re going to talk about this and more in our private Facebook Group. We will have 2minute tips each day from December 19 – 21 with PRIZES/bribes to join.[convertkit form=4947845]
