Is Social Media Worth My Time?
When it comes to social media there can be so much confusion. Which networks should you join? How much time should spend on it? How many should you join? How do you find if your readers are there? How do you find your potential audience?
With all the tools, and training and time – is it worth it? Am I actually converting any of those visitors into clients/customers?
It IS important to know where your clients are. You don’t need to spend any time in a place where your clients are not. This video will help you find where the most website visitors are coming from.
If you followed along with the video, you should now know what networks are the most popular with the audience you already have.
You can start building from this list – pick the top two or three networks.

Actually, lets back up one before that. What is your purpose for social media? If you need clients – yes spend time only where they are. Choose the top one or two networks and spend your time there.
But do you need to spread a message? or increase brand awareness? Choose three or four that you are working on this month. Lets go with those and see what happens.
Secondly, there are a lot of tools to help you maximize your time on social networks – creating a lot of systems that can be automated with a few minutes each week or a couple hours a month.
In order to get measurements of how many people took an action on your site, you need to set up a goal in analytics. Click here for: How to set up a goal in Google Analytics.
Once your goals are set, give yourself a week to spend time in your target social media networks. And then go back to the reports and view the reports – using the instructions in the video above.
Now you’re armed with the data you need to decide if social media is worth your time.
