This is for those who use or would like to use Amazon affiliate links. Using an affiliate link means that when you recommend a product or book from Amazon, and a reader purchases it you get a small percentage of the sale. Affiliates work similarly to commissioned sales.
You simply need to be approved for the affiliate program, and have a decent keyword rank tracker for Amazon sellers to track your progress. All you need to do is sign up at Amazon Associates. And follow this tutorial to add links to your posts in WordPress.
How to add Amazon Links in WordPress
1. After you’ve logged in, search for the product for which you’d like to create a link. Once you’re on the product page in Amazon, click on “Link to this page”.
2. In the pop-up, click “Text Only”.
3 & 4. Change the text to fit in with your commentary. It will default to the name of the product. Then copy the HTML. [ctrl] + [c]
5 & 6. Open your post. Click on the Text tab. Paste the code into the appropriate spot. [ctrl] + [v]
REMINDER: don’t forget to add the “no-follow” tag to your affiliate links.
