Start with a blog post or article or video that you want to promote. It always sounds closer to your authentic voice if you’re starting with your own written content.

I will upload a newsletter. I want you to plan 5 reels including a Reel Assembly Guide, and a master shot list. The plan needs to include full scripts (talking head, voice-over, or b-roll), recording instructions (what to film, how to film it), a soft CTA (in caption, on screen or in audio) to promote the newsletter. Then I need a master shot list of b-roll/talking head scenes so I can batch film efficiently. In the reel assembly guide for each video, please include scene sequence, audio (tending sound or voice over), caption, hook cues for video/audio, hashtags.

Then it should ask for the newsletter (or blog post).

You then upload in plain text or send a link. I’ve had varying degrees of success with a link – sometimes it will take the title of the link, and then outline an entire plan based solely on that. So be sure that it actually summarizes the content on the link correctly. You might also instruct it to use items from the link ONLY in the creation of the scripts.

They are supposed to be able to. Different models have different abilities depending on which plan you are subscribed to. I use ChatGPT for everything and pay only one fee at $20/mo I think.

No. Without a subscription, you may have to ‘prime’ the AI with more information about your voice, company, etc. Or even better – ask it, if it has all the information it needs to creative effective attention-grabbing reels.

There are different programs that will take a script (or write it) and then add stock video for each main thought. So yes, there are AI programs that will do that. Some will even schedule video to your social media apps. I have tested Marky, Invideo, CapCut and Blaze and do not find them to be worthy of representing a legitimate company. Not yet, anyway. You can do better by being authentic and using AI to create a reel plan for you. Use the AI to make your reel creation faster and easier. Do not use it to replace you.
