Will I get Penalized by Google for Publishing AI Written Content?

Will google penalize you for using AI in your articles or on your website? The short answer is no – and yes!

No – google can’t actually detect which tools you used to write the text if you follow instructions below. And Yes -they said that they don’t want AI content.

Google guidelines say they want unique perspectives that provide a quality user experience. The content must add to the conversation.

In my opinion, you can do both: Use AI, edit it and make sure that it is the quality that your readers deserve in the tone of voice that they are accustomed to. However, there is NO invisible code that tells Google you used an AI tool.

Just to be safe, I have, and recommend that you do too – copy and paste your AI created content into a new blog post. I do not recommend using a writing tool that auto-posts to your blog.

If you have the premium version of Yoast’s plugin, SEO for WordPress, and you use the internal linking suggestions – you are already using AI! The AI has been trained to read your content and understand it, rather then just looking for keywords. That’s why the recommendations are so accurate.

This is a free tool from Google that can help you to monitor your website’s performance in Google search results. It can help you to identify keywords that are driving traffic to your site, and track your search rankings over time.

Google Trends

This is a free tool from Google that allows you to see how often a particular search term is entered relative to the total search-volume across various regions of the world, and in various languages.

Google Keyword Planner

This is a free tool from Google that uses AI to analyze keywords and suggest new ones. It can also help you to estimate search volume, CPC, and competition for keywords.

Professional SEO Tools and Options

You only need one of these tools: SEMrush, AHrefs, or Moz Pro. Personally I use SEOptimer and Rank Tracker. They are smaller, lesser known, but they are 1/3 the cost and do the same thing. For periodic use, I recommend the following tools and their free plan and trials.

Starting with SEMRush: this is an all-in-one SEO tool that uses AI to analyze your website and competitors. It can help you to identify keywords, track rankings, and optimize your website’s on-page SEO. The pricing starts at $99.95/month

AHrefs is another all-in-one SEO tool that uses AI to analyze your website and competitors. It can help you to track your backlinks, monitor your keyword rankings, and identify new opportunities for link building. The pricing starts at $99/month.

Moz Pro is an AI-based SEO tool that can help you to track your keyword rankings, analyze your backlinks, and identify new opportunities for optimization. The pricing starts at $99/month.

Of these three most bloggers use SEMRush. I’m quite happy with SEOptimer, RankIQ & WordHero though – all three are less than one month of SEMRush.

AI Tools to Create Social Media Posts

This sections has tools that are used by AI to create social media posts and images from your blog post. Some require just the post, some a quick summary – you can use your meta description to feed the AI. Some of these you already use and may not realize they use AI.

WordHero

This is the one I use – you can enter the meta description into the “create social media posts” box and it will output different captions. This is the best AI Writing Tool for us because it was one of the least expensive, and generates really high quality content.

Quillbot

Quillbot uses AI algorithms to analyze your blog post and generate new content based on the ideas and themes present in the text. It can help you to create social media posts by suggesting different ways to present the ideas from your blog post, such as different headlines, captions, and hashtags.
